Archaeon, LLC
Archaeon is small, women-owned business enterprise (WBE) that began operations in 2024. Despite being relatively new, Archaeon has extensive experience conducting archaeological and historical investigations throughout the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Mid-South regions and can help you navigate the complexities of complying with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and other cultural resource laws.
Mindy Green - President/Historian
Mindy is a Historian with more than 30 years of experience conducting historical research in Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, and the surrounding areas. Mindy specializes in document and map research and cemetery preservation. Notable projects that Mindy has been involved with include Caldwell Family - Octagon Hall, the Lincoln-Benedict-Vandergrift family, and the Saline Salt Mine/Crenshaw Plantation.
William Green, M.A., RPA - Vice President/Principal Archaeologist
Bill is an Archaeologist and Principal Investigator with over 35 years of experience conducting and overseeing cultural resource investigations in the eastern U.S. He meets the Secretary of Interior’s (SOI) Professional Qualification Standards for Archaeology and History and is a Registered Professional Archaeologist. Since beginning his career in 1987, he has conducted more than 1,500 cultural resource projects ranging from desktop reviews and reconnaissance surveys to multi-year data recovery projects. In the past, Bill was the cultural resource leader for several large Engineering firms and was a former reviewer with the South Carolina State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO).
